Joining the celebrations of UAE Innovation Week currently sweeping the nation, Majid TV participated in the first Fatima bint Mubarak Motherhood and Childhood Forum held in the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi as well as the Abu Dhabi Science Festival to celebrate young Emirati talent. Through these events, Majid TV aimed to discover and foster young Emirati talent and innovation as well as hear their thoughts and feedback which will help them build an sustain a creative eco-system in the country.
The Fatima Bint Mubarak Motherhood and Childhood forum, organized under the patronage of Sheikha Fatima, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, was graced by the presence of HE Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, along with Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden who passed by the Majid TV live stand. The stand served as a platform for children attending the forum to discuss their innovative ideas and aspirations as well as address any challenges that they may face through a range of interactive activities and panel discussions.

The forum also celebrated 25 innovative Emirati children who have excelled in the Innovation domain through their innovations. The Emirati kids also had the opportunity to be hosted by Majid TV presenter, Ibrahim Al Khermeiry, on the channel’s ROBOTEC show, a private studio program, to showcase their exhibited inventions in line with UAE Innovation Week. Al Khemeiry also hosted a panel discussion at the forum to throw a spotlight on the dreams, challenges and aspirations of the youth as well other key topics including the important role to be played by both the school and families to foster creativity and innovation amongst the younger generation.
In line with UAE Innovation Week, Majid TV has also participated in the Abu Dhabi Science Festival, the largest annual science festival in the region, being held between 17th and 26th November 2016. As part of the festival, Majid TV has organized interactive activities and informative games where the attending kids were invited to take part in a Q&A session hosted by one of Majid TV’s popular presenters. Children also had the opportunity to interact and take photos with their favorite Majid TV characters such as Majid, Qaslan and Captain Khalfan.
