The UAE has announced Eid Al Fitr holidays for the private sector.
In a tweet, the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation said the holidays will be the first and second days of Shawwal.
The month of Shawwal begins on the first day of Eid, which is expected to be announced by the UAE’s moon sighting committee later this week.
Shawwal 1 will either fall on Friday, June 15, or Saturday, June 16, depending on the crescent moon sighting.
Earlier, the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources declared that Eid Al Fitr holidays for UAE public sector will begin from Thursday (June 14), the 29th Ramadan, until the third day of Shawwal.
