- Australia has beaten Sri Lanka by six wickets with 116 balls to spare to claim the ODI series in Dambulla tonight.
Angelo Mathews won the toss and elected to bat with Sri Lankan opener Dhananjaya de Silva top scoring on 76 runs.
John Hastings took career best figures of 6-45 to help restrict Sri Lanka to 212 runs for Australia to chase.
In response, Australian openers David Warner (19) and Aaron Finch set a blistering pace bringing up their 50-run partnership in the fourth over before Finch was dismissed lbw by Sachith Pathirana for 55 runs off 19 balls.
George Bailey and Travis Head (40) combined nicely for a 100-run fourth wicket partnership with Bailey guiding the hosts to victory on 90 not out.
