Pomegranate language institute connects people through language, culture, customs, and lifestyle and is proudly hosting a Cultural evening on the 14th of January from 5pm to 8pm at it’s institute located in Rasis Business Center, Al Barsha.
They are inviting people from all walks of life to become a part of it and witness how the idea of bringing a variety of cultures together has taken a practical shape.
In Greece, the pomegranate fruit symbolizes luck, new beginnings, well wishes and is given to people on special occasions or life turning events such as child birth, weddings, graduation, new job, etc. Mariam Shibib was given one in Idomeni, a small village in Greece bordering Macedonia and since the idea of Pomegranate institute was born. And living in the U.A.E gave her an edge of fulfilling her dream as it is a country where over 200 nationalities reside making it a melting pot of cultures.
There will be interactive culture sessions of over ten countries where volunteers will speak about the unseen and unheard realities which will be an eye-opener for the audience. There will also be representations of various countries, bite of traditional foods to let the visitors have a taste of the country’s traditional food. Also at the cultural interactive evening, music and dance will hold the attention at sway.
A colourful cultural photo booth will also be set up where one can capture wacky images, record videos holding attractive riveting props and share it with friends making a memory of the engaging cultural evening you had.

The founder Mariam Shibib who has worked in the humanitarian sector for over 15 years and co-founder of the institute Marie-Alex Saaeva who is a language instructor from the last 7 years will also be present at the evening and will be available for one to one discussion and interviews.
