Emergency measures are in place for the rapid delivery of aid to Yemen’s Hodeidah governorate, where the Saudi-led Arab Coaltion has launched a major military offensive.
According to the UAE’s Minister of State for International Cooperation, food and essential supplies have been stocked for immediate intervention, while planes, ships and vehicles are on standby.
Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy also added that they have back-up plans in place if the Houthi militia causes any damage to the aid delivery corridors.
A large-scale military operation is currently underway to liberate the port city of Hodeidah from the rebels.
